Bill Carson joined the US Bancorp Community Development Corporation in 2014 to create infUSe — a holistic approach to investing financial and technical resources for social impact in community-scale revitalization.

Bill spent eight years as Vice President and Director of Sustainability with urban developer McCormack Baron Salazar (MBS) and President of MBS subsidiary Sunwheel Energy, where he launched the organization’s sustainability efforts. He entered the urban redevelopment field in 2001 as Executive Director of the Vashon Education Compact, a groundbreaking public-private-civic partnership focused on improving student outcomes in St. Louis’s most distressed public schools.

Bill is a Cornell Engineering alum and holds Master’s degrees in Engineering Policy and in Engineering Management from Washington University. He has served on the boards of numerous educational, civic and arts organizations in St. Louis and is currently a board officer of the Center of Creative Arts and member of the Danforth Plant Science Center Leadership Council. He is passionate about the potential of integrated sustainability strategies to reduce environmental impact, improve resident well-being and advance socioeconomic mobility in distressed urban communities.
