
With an urban farm, an upcycling business, a community garden and a green team, the Maryland areas in Prince George’s County know collectively as Port Towns have been cultivating neighborhood sustainability for several years.
After attending the 2014 EcoDistricts Incubator last May, area leaders jumpstarted their work toward regenerating the communities through a holistic sustainability lens. Now, business leaders and officials say they would like to officially brand the Port Towns as an ecodistrict.
