Working at EcoDistricts

Our organization has grown exponentially since its launch in 2011. We take teamwork and organizational culture seriously and put constant attention on building a fun and supportive workplace where our philosophy is: “work hard and play hard.” We build crystal clarity of expectations and a shared vision of success with annual work planning and consistent progress reviews. We match our strong work ethic with regular staff fun days, annual team retreats and regular celebration of our hard work and achievements with Friday afternoon team social time.

We believe in collaboration, creativity and empowering transformative leadership practices across our team. In fact, we’ve built a Manifesto that speaks to these core values and how we live them each and every day:

Employee Benefits and Office Environment

We believe in well cared for, well-compensated employees and boast an extensive benefits package that includes generous vacation time, sick pay, paid holidays, retirement and 100% employer-paid healthcare, dental, disability and life insurance for full time staff.

Our office is currently located within Portland’s Central Eastside District. We work in an open office space where everyone is easily accessible and technology is employed regularly to keep our office well connected.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

With equity at the core of our work, we launched a formalized Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) blueprint in 2016 that institutionalizes our commitment to remain informed, aware, thoughtful and engaged in how we work, who we work with and the diverse perspectives we bring to the table. Team members receive focused training and support related to the fulfillment of our DEI goals.

EcoDistricts is committed to equal opportunities and employment for all. Our positions are open to all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, marital status or status as a covered veteran.
