Smart and connected cities are important. They help us learn how all neighborhoods, especially underserved neighborhoods, are performing, and can help us learn how to build more healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities.
Hosted by Smart Cities Council, the world’s largest smart cities network, Smart Cities Week 2017 envisions a world where digital technology and intelligent design are harnessed to create smart, sustainable cities with high-quality living and high-quality jobs. Here at EcoDistricts, we are looking forward to Smart Cities Week 2017 this coming October.
Smart Cities Week 2017 delivers against the urgent global need for more livable, workable, and sustainable cities. Produced in partnership with MCI, the third annual Smart Cities Week D.C. will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center Oct. 3-5, 2017.
Join visionary government leaders and the world’s foremost smart cities practitioners for a unique, immersive event that ultimately answers the question: How can smart infrastructure solve my city’s toughest challenges?
Attendees will hear from public, private, and nonprofit leaders and subject matter experts from around the world during keynote addresses, workshops, intimate roundtable discussions, and panel sessions aligned to six tracks:
- Infrastructure Innovation
- City Showcase
- Climate Resilience
- Compassionate Cities
- Investing for Change
- Built Environment
Conference participants will also see cutting-edge infrastructure solutions from leading vendors presented in fresh and exciting ways in the exhibition hall. The hall will also feature the popular Innovation Alley competition that showcases startups determined to build The Next Big Thing for tomorrow’s cities.
Smart Cities Week 2017 is an excellent opportunity to build partnerships and connect with practitioners and industry professionals, some of whom may even be at the 2017 EcoDistricts Summit.
